Samuli Naamanka

Interior architect Samuli Naamanka (Born in1969, Finland) has also studied design in Denmark and physics at the university in Finland. He is innovative and research oriented
and interested in finding new design possibilities in materials, especially in natural and biodegradable materials.

He has been described as the designer of many materials, from concrete to soft natural raw materials. Amongst his clients are Graphic Concrete, Avarte, Parri and Iittala. He has worked also with exhibition design, spaces architecture and
interiors as well as with landscape art and design.

Samuli Naamanka has been exhibiting his works internationally and domestically since 1990. Internationally in Japan, Italy, USA, Canada, China, France, Russia, Scotland, Belgium and Hungary. He has received grants, awards and competitions rewards from many countries, most recently 1st prize: Nordic design prize, Stockholm, Sweden.

For Plastex Samuli Naamanka is designing objects studying new materials use and aesthetical beauty.
