Eero Aarnio

Professor Eero Aarnio (Born in 1932, Finland) is world-famous for his open-minded eagerness to experiment and his enthusiasm for manufacturing plastics.

His most renowned ball chair from the sixties is an icon in the design world. For the satisfaction of the user his smooth, harmonious and masterly design brings happiness to us and the co-operation with Plastex started a couple of years ago.
He has also worked with companies e.g. Adelta, Artek, Magis, Martela, Innojok and Vitra Design Museum.

Eero Aarnio has been awarded internationally many times during his long career, recently with Compasso d'Oro, Italy and Kaj Frank Design Prize in Finland, 2008. He has been
exhibiting around the world and his works are permanently in the collections of many museums. For example the Museum of Modern Art, MoMA, New York, Victoria and Albert
Museum, London, Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, France and Bauhaus Museum, Sydney.
